Talking Paint Colours: Navy
French Navy Paint
We had a good chat about paint colours this week, with one of our customers, when she visited us and she was very taken with the colour that we have painted the Pine TV cabinet that we have been working on.
She has been looking for a French Navy Paint colour and was undecided between Frenchic Hornblower, Annie Sloan Oxford Navy and Fusion Mineral Chestler, such a line up and quite a decision!
Frenchic Hornblower is a near Navy Blue. The Frenchic navy paint is from their Lazy range and so doesn't need a top coat.
Annie Sloan Oxford Navy is a more traditional nave blue chalk paint and this would need a top coat.

Fusion Mineral Chestler, is almost Navy and is one of the new colours launched at the end of last year by Fusion Mineral Paint. This paint does not need a top coat.

The blue Frenchic paint is not one that I have personally used, although our customer advised it is a good French Navy, and the Annie Sloan Oxford Navy is a good dark blue chalk paint.
She told us that she particularly like the ease of use of the Fusion paint as it isn't a chalk paint it doesn't need waxing, she also liked the feel of the paint finish without needing to apply a top coat, as it is a very durable paint.
