To preserve the superior quality of your Staalmeester® brushes, proper cleaning after each use is essential.
Cleaning Tips:
For water-based paints (like Fusion™ Mineral Paint or milk paint), rinse the brush briefly, then let it sit in clean water—just covering the bristles up to the ferrule—for about 30 minutes. This loosens any remaining paint for easy washing.
Use a small amount of Fusion™ Brush Cleaner during final cleaning to remove any residue and condition the bristles—especially beneficial for natural bristles.
When working with oil-based products (like waxes or Stain & Finishing Oil), start by cleaning the brush with odorless mineral spirits.
Quick Tip:
Pressed for time? Prevent paint from drying on your tools:
Wrap brushes in plastic or cover with a damp cloth.
Alternatively, keep the brush submerged in water up to the ferrule until you're ready to clean it.
