DISTRESS & FINISH

Distress your piece with 240-grade sandpaper on edges, then 320-400 grade to smooth. Painted over too much? Just repaint and try again.

Then choose your finish:

Clear Coat – Water resistant after 7 days. Apply one thin layer, dry for an hour, add another coat if desired.

Mud – Fill gaps, create embossed details with stencils, or make impressions with stamps and textures. Never rinse down the drain; use baby wipes to clean. Keep int he fridge once open.

Gel Stain – Water-based (Voodoo, dries faster) or oil-based (No Pain, deeper colour). Apply with cloth or brush. Test first, less is more.

Easy Peasy Wax – Mist lightly, wait 5 seconds, wipe with lint-free cloth. Reapply every 3-4 months.

Best Dang Wax – Thin layer over dry paint, set 15-20 minutes, buff with clean cloth. Distress before or after.

Sea Spray – Mix 2 scoops into 8 oz paint for a chippy, weathered look. Dab and smoosh with a brush, then gently smooth or leave textured.

Gator Hide Top Coat – Apply 3 very thin layers, drying between each. Perfect for tables and countertops. Allow 48 hours to fully cure.
